Leave Your Mark. Keep the Magic Alive.

The Ionia Theatre is more than just a place to see a movie. It's a living piece of community history, a gathering space, and a stage for stories that inspire. We rely on the generosity of the City of Ionia, individuals, families, and local businesses to help us maintain this historic gem and keep entertainment accessible for all.

There are many ways you can support the theatre and become part of its legacy:

Name a Seat

Leave a permanent mark on the theatre by naming a seat in the auditorium. Whether to honor a loved one, celebrate a family, or promote your business, a custom seat plaque is a unique way to show your support while becoming part of the theatre's story.

Host a Fundraiser for the Theatre

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Host a fundraising event or benefit performance to support the theatre's operations, restoration projects, or equipment upgrades. We’ll work with you to create a memorable and impactful experience. Reach out to Cassie Rice at crice@ci.ionia.mi.us or Gary Furgeson at gfurgeson@ci.ionia.mi.us to discuss ideas and scheduling.

Other Ways to Give

  • Business Sponsorships — Sponsor a film series, live performance, or community event for great exposure and community goodwill.
  • Planned Giving — Include the Ionia Theatre in your estate plans or create a legacy gift.
  • Matching Gifts — Ask your employer about matching your donation to double your impact.
