Mary Ellen St. Aubin (nee: Burback) a former actress and vaudeville entertainer, and a VIP "Guest of Honor" of our very own annual "Wizard of Oz-Festival" community summer celebration event held in Downtown Ionia in June, has graciously accepted our invitation to return for the 2016 "Wizard of Oz-Festival" to be held Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18.

James C. Wallace II, originally a native of West Virginia, currently lives in Terre Haute, Indiana with his wife Amanda. They have been married 30+ years, and have 5 children and 14 grandchildren. James C. Wallace background covers over 28 years in children's education, including experience working for the world's largest children's museum; "The Children's Museum of Indianapolis", where he was the Planetarium Educator for SpaceQuest Planetarium. In addition to children's books about Oz, he is recognized by NASA and the National Science Foundation (NSF) as a leading developer of web-based educational games, educational exhibit design, curriculum development and implementation. He is also involved in the DiscoverHover program, which is an educational program developing and utilizing hovercraft in a unique and fun way. He now serves as the Royal Liaison of Oz and endeavors to fulfill Princess Ozma's royal command to tell the tales of Oz to the children of the Great Outside.

Vincent Myrand was born in Lewiston, Maine in 1974.  His love for the arts started when he was a young boy.  He was inspired by the movie the Wizard of Oz.  Vincent's primary medium is oil paint but he also enjoys mixed media work. Vincent maintains a disciplined technique inspired by the Old Masters. In 1997 Vincent traveled to Italy on an artistic tour of Rome, Venice and Pompeii.  A major inspiration of Vincent's work is brought on by his love of reading.  Vincent's favorite painters are Titian, Rembrandt, Tintoretto and Gustav Moreau.  Vincent has been an art instructor teaching children and adults how to draw and paint with oils, acrylic, watercolour and tempera paints.  Vincent is currently collaborating on a children's book with his long time friend Kevin St. Onge.  Vincent currently resides in Auburn, Maine. Children's, young adult, and Oz author Ron Baxley, Jr. has been an author for 24 years, a Mr. Potato Head collector for approximately a decade, and most recently published "The Oz Omnibus of Talking City Tales with Maple Creek Press" and his co-authored combined "Oz/Wonderland Of Cabbages series with James C. Wallace II - "Of Cabbages, Kings, Queens, Flying Pigs, and Dismal Things" through Maple Creek as well. He, a former educator of 15 years in various capacities, lives with his Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Ziggy, and is a care-giver for a relative in South Carolina while working part-time as a correspondent/reporter for the Orangeburg Times and Democrat.
