Meet the City Clerk
*Allison (Ally) Hope Cook will begin duties as the official City Clerk of the City of Ionia in January, 2018. 


Allison (Ally) Hope Cook, a 6th generation Ionian; graduated from Ionia Public Schools in 2004, and continued her ongoing education at Central Michigan University earning a bachelor's and master's degrees in Education. Ally has worked as both a Spanish teacher and a Special Education teacher for Hastings, Michigan school district, and the Ionia Intermediate School District (ISD).

Community Involvement
At present; Ally serves as the vice president of the Ionia County Historical Society which meets at the historical John C. Blanchard home/museum.  Ally is also a member of Friends of the Library, Woman's Literary Club, Women of the Moose, Ionia First Christian Church, and is an organizer of the Ionia County Bertha Brock Fall Festival.

Ally resides in the City of Ionia's historical downtown district, and in her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs, beekeeping, and attending community events.

Ally is the daughter of Greg and Kathleen Cook, and has three siblings Mattie, Ellen and Margot.
